Google’s next Made by Google event is days away, and the Pixel Watch 5 is among the expected announcements. A new leak reveals a special edition: the Pixel Watch 5 Stephen Curry Edition, continuing Google’s partnership with the NBA superstar.
What’s Different
The Stephen Curry Edition is based on the 45mm LTE model but includes a unique fabric band — similar to the one that shipped with the Fitbit Ace Stephen Curry Edition. The band features Curry’s name and the hashtag #LockIn, with a water-repellent coating designed for workouts.
Google and Curry first partnered earlier this year for the Fitbit Ace Stephen Curry Edition ($129.99 vs. $99.99 for the standard). The Pixel Watch 5 version follows the same formula.
Pricing and Availability
The leak pegs the European price at €549 — €30 more than the standard 45mm LTE model. U.S. pricing hasn’t surfaced yet but may appear before the August 12 launch. The fine print notes the water-repellent coating “may diminish or be completely removed over time,” and this edition may not be available in all countries.
