Xiaomi has revealed new details about the Redmi K100 Pro Max ahead of its launch in China. The gaming-focused smartphone features a 185Hz display and a flagship Snapdragon chipset.
Xiaomi recently confirmed that the Redmi K100 Pro and Redmi K100 Pro Max will launch in China on August 11. The company has now officially shared more information about the Pro Max model, which will be positioned as a gaming-centric smartphone.
The device will feature a 6.9-inch display with a 185Hz refresh rate. For comparison, the Redmi K90 Pro Max has a 120Hz display, while the recently launched Redmi K90 Ultra has a 165Hz panel. According to the company, more than 30 games will natively support 185 fps on the K100 Pro Max. However, Xiaomi has not yet published the full list of supported titles.
The Redmi K100 Pro Max will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset alongside Xiaomi’s D2 discrete graphics chip. For context, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is a flagship chipset also used in the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The chipset is manufactured using a 3nm process and features an Adreno 840 GPU. The company claims the phone scored 4.55 million points in an AnTuTu V11 benchmark.
The phone also has seven antennas positioned to prevent signal obstruction when held horizontally, along with two Xiaomi Surge T1+ signal-enhancement chips. Additionally, Xiaomi has confirmed a “Cabernet Red” colorway, Bose-tuned audio, and a metal frame.
