Samsung has expanded One UI 9 development to include several more Galaxy devices beyond the flagship S26 series, signaling that the company’s next major software update is moving steadily toward a broader beta rollout.
The company recently released the third One UI 9 beta for the Galaxy S26 series, which remains the only lineup currently eligible for public beta testing. However, internal firmware builds are now appearing for the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy A56, Galaxy S23, and the entire Galaxy S24 family — including the S24, S24+, S24 Ultra, and S24 FE.
Firmware Builds Spotted
According to firmware tracking databases, the One UI 9 build for the Galaxy Z Fold7 carries firmware version F966USQUACZF3. The Galaxy A56 and Galaxy S23 have builds labeled A566BXXUBDZFB and S911BXXUAGZF9 respectively. The Galaxy S24 series builds are S921BXXUFEZF7 (S24), S926BXXUFEZF7 (S24+), S928BXXUFEZF7 (S24 Ultra), and S721BXXUCEZF7 (S24 FE).
These builds are internal testing versions, not yet ready for public consumption, but their existence confirms that Samsung is actively adapting One UI 9 for a wide range of hardware — from foldables to mid-range A-series devices to older flagship models.
What’s New in One UI 9
One UI 9 is expected to be Samsung’s most significant software update in years, built on top of Android 17. Early beta builds have shown a redesigned Quick Settings panel, enhanced AI features including on-device Galaxy AI tools, improved multitasking for foldable devices, and deeper integration with Samsung’s ecosystem of wearables and smart home devices.
The update also brings substantial performance optimizations, particularly around animation smoothness and app launch speeds — areas where Samsung has been playing catch-up to competitors like Google’s Pixel line.
Which Devices Will Get One UI 9 First?
The first Samsung devices to ship with One UI 9 out of the box will be the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Z Fold8, and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, which are rumored to be unveiled on July 22 at an event in London. After that, the beta program will likely expand to the S24 series, followed by the S23 and A-series devices currently being tested internally.
Samsung hasn’t announced a specific timeline, but if past releases are any guide, the stable One UI 9 update should begin rolling out to eligible devices in late August or early September, starting with the newest foldables and flagship S-series phones.
