About six months after the RedMagic 11 series, the company is back with a refresh: the RedMagic 11S Pro. As is tradition with the “S” lineup, the 11S Pro brings modest but meaningful upgrades rather than a complete redesign.
Performance: A new chip
The headline upgrade is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset—specifically the SM8850-AD “Prime” variant, which was previously exclusive to the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra under the “for Galaxy” branding. That exclusivity period has ended, and RedMagic is one of the first other manufacturers to ship it. In real-world performance, the Prime variant offers slightly higher clock speeds and improved sustained performance compared to the standard SM8850-AC found in the original RedMagic 11 series.

Gaming performance
The 11S Pro continues RedMagic’s tradition of gaming-first design. The built-in active cooling fan runs at 22,000 RPM, keeping the Snapdragon chip cool even during extended gaming sessions. In benchmarks, the device outperforms the original RedMagic 11 by about 8-10% in GPU-intensive tasks, and the active cooling means it maintains those performance levels without throttling—something most flagship phones struggle with.
The 7,050mAh battery is enormous by any standard, delivering over 10 hours of screen-on time in mixed use. When you do need to charge, the 165W wired charging fills the battery from 0 to 100% in approximately 18 minutes.
Verdict
The RedMagic 11S Pro isn’t for everyone. The camera system is serviceable but not competitive with flagships from Samsung or Apple. The software includes some gaming-focused bloatware. But if raw gaming performance is your priority, the 11S Pro delivers with the fastest chip available, the best thermal management in any phone, and a battery that simply won’t quit.
