GTA VI Extended Look Coming August 27 to Netflix — Here’s When and Where to Watch

GTA VI is officially launching on November 19, 2026, and pre-orders have been available since late June. But if you want a deeper look at the highly anticipated game before release, mark your calendar for August 27.

On that day, Rockstar Games is releasing an “extended look” at GTA VI. The premiere will be exclusive to Netflix for a limited six-hour window, starting at:

  • 3:00 PM ET (12:00 PM PT)
  • 8:00 PM in London (BST)
  • 9:00 PM CEST in Central Europe
  • 12:30 AM on August 28 in India (IST)

Netflix Exclusivity: Only 6 Hours

Here’s the catch: Netflix’s exclusivity window lasts exactly six hours. After that, the same extended look video will become available on YouTube and the official GTA VI website, starting at:

  • 9:00 PM ET (6:00 PM PT)
  • 2:00 AM on August 28 in London
  • 3:00 AM CEST on August 28
  • 6:30 AM on August 28 in India

So if you have Netflix and want to see it first, tune in at 3 PM ET on August 27. If you don’t subscribe to Netflix, you’ll only need to wait a few hours for the public release on YouTube and Rockstar’s website.

This marks an unusual distribution strategy for a game trailer — partnering with a streaming service for a timed exclusive. It suggests Rockstar and Netflix have a deeper partnership in the works, possibly related to the previously rumored GTA trilogy mobile ports on Netflix Games.
