Google’s 2026 hardware event didn’t just iterate—it signaled a shift. The Pixel 11 series, Pixel Watch 5, and Fitbit Air represent the most cohesive lineup the company has ever shipped. We went hands-on with all of it. Here’s what matters.
Pixel 11: The Sensible Upgrade
The base Pixel 11 gets the Tensor G6 chip, 12GB RAM, and a 256GB storage floor—finally. The 50MP main camera sensor is larger. Battery creeps to 4,985 mAh with 25W wireless charging. It’s the same matte metal design as the Pixel 10, but in two new colors: Pistachio (subtle, minty) and Hibiscus (unmissably pink).
What it doesn’t get: the HiLight notification ring. That stays Pro-exclusive.
Pixel 11 Pro & Pro XL: HiLight Steals the Show
HiLight is a colored LED ring around the camera flash that pulses in custom patterns for specific contacts. It’s delightful—until you realize it only triggers for people in your contacts list. No spam protection, no unknown caller IDs. Still, the brighter display, 50MP main + 48MP telephoto combo, and 256GB base storage make these the ones to beat.
Trade-offs exist: base RAM drops to 12GB (16GB requires 512GB), and battery capacity dips slightly. Colors: Canyon (warm orange-gold) and a matte Obsidian that’s stealthier but slipperier.
Pixel 11 Pro Fold: The Weight Breakthrough
This is the story. The Pro Fold now weighs nearly the same as the Pro XL. The crease is still visible. The camera bar is smaller. But holding it? It finally feels like a normal phone when folded. The 4,806 mAh battery is smaller than last year’s 5,015 mAh—Tensor G6 efficiency will have to carry it.
Olive is the sole launch color. It works.
Pixel Watch 5 & Fitbit Air: Iteration, Not Revolution
The Watch 5 adds 64GB storage (double), larger batteries for both 41mm and 45mm models, and software improvements we couldn’t fully test in our brief session. It looks identical to the Watch 4. Champagne Gold with the Canyon Active Band is the standout combo.
Fitbit Air—the screenless fitness tracker announced in May—finally hits India in October. It’s basic, affordable, and exactly what the entry-level market needs.
Early Verdict
Google’s 2026 lineup doesn’t chase headlines. It solves the complaints people actually had: weight, storage floors, battery anxiety. The Fold’s mass reduction is the headline. HiLight is the conversation starter. Tensor G6 is the silent enabler.
