Don’t Starve Together Mobile Gets July Release Date

Don’t Starve Together is bringing its multiplayer survival gameplay to iOS and Android devices later this month.

Official Release Date Confirmed

Klei Entertainment and Playdigious have confirmed the official July 21, 2026 mobile release date for the multiplayer survival hit Don’t Starve Together. Partnering with mobile porting studio Playdigious, the survival game is set to launch on both iOS and Android on July 21, 2026.

While the standard single-player version has been available on smartphones for years, this marks the first time players can dive into the full multiplayer experience on a portable screen. Pre-registrations are now live on the App Store and Google Play for $8.99, which includes a 10 percent discount before the price shifts to its standard $9.99 retail price at launch. The standalone release follows an extended development period after the project was dropped from its original publisher, Netflix Games, early last year.

Custom Touch Controls and Cross-Platform Cosmetic Sharing

Adapting a complex survival game from PC to touchscreens required significant user interface adjustments behind the scenes. Playdigious completely redesigned the interface to fit smaller mobile screens, so you won’t have to struggle with tiny inventory menus or awkward hotbars. The game features responsive touch controls along with native Bluetooth controller support if you prefer playing with a physical gamepad.

Cloud saving is also ready from day one, allowing you to sync your progress across multiple devices. Best of all, Klei confirmed that the mobile port includes full cross-platform skin sharing, which means existing players can directly use any cosmetic items they’ve already unlocked on the PC or console versions.

Full Multiplayer Survival in Your Pocket

This mobile release retains the same uncompromising survival gameplay that fans have come to love. You can jump straight into the spooky world of the Constant to gather resources, build bases, manage your character’s sanity, and fight off monstrous seasonal monsters. Multiplayer features will be fully active on launch day. You’ll be able to easily set up private local servers for your friends or hunt for teammates using public online matchmaking.

An unofficial fan-made version leaked onto online forums earlier this week, proving just how eager the community is for a portable multiplayer edition. However, the official Playdigious release is the only version backed by dedicated server support and future content updates.
