Luxury accessory brand Caviar has sparked renewed speculation about Apple’s upcoming iPhone releases by unveiling detailed concept designs for both the iPhone 18 Pro series and the rumored iPhone Ultra foldable device.
While Caviar regularly creates premium versions of unreleased smartphones, their latest leak includes specific details that align with existing rumors while introducing some intriguing new elements. Most notably, Caviar claims Apple’s fall product launch will occur on September 9th – a date consistent with historical patterns and Apple’s tendency to avoid scheduling events on the day after Labor Day.
For the iPhone 18 Pro lineup, Caviar suggests a potential new “Shadow Cherry” finish alongside traditional silver, gray, and light blue options. The designs maintain the current 6.9-inch and 6.3-inch display sizes but feature a reduced Dynamic Island as Apple integrates additional Face ID components beneath the screen.
More significantly, Caviar indicates the iPhone 18 Pro might eliminate physical button actuation for the Camera Control function, replacing the current pressure-sensitive system with a purely touch-based interface. The concept also shows a slightly thicker chassis to accommodate a 5,100-5,200 mAh battery – an incremental increase over current models.
Regarding the iPhone Ultra foldable concept, Caviar proposes a titanium frame with a liquid metal (amorphous alloy) hinge mechanism. When unfolded, the device would measure approximately 4.9mm thick, expanding to around 9mm when folded. The design features dual 48MP rear cameras, a 24MP front-facing camera, and an additional under-display selfie sensor – a notable departure from the 18MP selfie camera seen in previous rumors.
Most strikingly, Caviar suggests a massive 5,800 mAh battery capacity for the iPhone Ultra, significantly exceeding the 5,000 mAh ceiling mentioned in other leaks. The display configuration reportedly includes a 7.8-inch internal screen with a 4:3 aspect ratio for book-like viewing and a 5.3-inch external cover screen, both potentially featuring 120Hz LTPO technology.
However, inconsistencies emerge between Caviar’s different specification sheets – particularly regarding the processor node, with one document citing the Apple A20 chip on a 3nm process while another suggests 2nm, creating uncertainty about the accuracy of these “insider” details.
As with all pre-release leaks from accessory manufacturers, these designs should be viewed as speculative concepts rather than confirmed specifications. While they provide interesting talking points and reflect current industry rumors, the actual Apple products may differ significantly when officially unveiled.
