Bada Bing! The Sopranos Is Finally Coming to 4K Blu-Ray

One of the finest TV dramas of all time is finally coming to 4K Blu-ray. The Sopranos: The Complete Series box set is available for pre-order in the US and Canada, with a release date set for December 2026.

This isn’t the first Sopranos box set — far from it. There was the original DVD set, a Blu-ray box in 2014, and a 25th-anniversary Blu-ray box in 2024 that included The Many Saints of Newark. But this is the first time the entire series is available in 4K.

What’s in the box? All 86 episodes across 28 discs, including two bonus Blu-rays. The set delivers a new (currently untitled) featurette with Sopranos creator and writer David Chase, plus hours of additional material: a two-part documentary, seven behind-the-scenes featurettes, and all bonus content previously released on the Complete Series Blu-ray. Everything comes in a hardcover lay-flat book-style package.

Why it matters: The Sopranos tells the story of troubled mob boss Tony Soprano, who secretly attends therapy because he knows that if word gets out about his “weakness,” he’s a dead man walking. It’s as much about family as it is about mafia families — and it features stellar performances across the board.

The show accumulated 111 Primetime Emmy nominations and 21 wins, plus 5 Golden Globe awards. Cast members James Gandolfini, Edie Falco, Michael Imperioli, Drea de Matteo, and Joe Pantoliano all won Emmys for their performances.

It’s no exaggeration to say that The Sopranos started a golden age of TV drama. Without it, there would be no Breaking Bad, Mad Men, or any of the other prestige shows we revere. It was pivotal in shifting the perception that TV was inferior to cinema — and that our most compelling protagonists didn’t have to be good people.

Release date: December 8, 2026 (US) | Price: $149.99
