Sony launched the WH-1000XM4 headphones in 2020, and they have since been discontinued as they were first replaced by the WH-1000XM5 and then the WH-1000XM6. However, it now appears Sony plans to revive the WH-1000XM4 and relaunch it as the WH-1000XM4C.
This product is expected to be released on September 7 for €249.99 or £219.99.

The original Sony WH-1000XM4
In Euros, this makes these €100 more affordable than the original WH-1000XM4 was when it launched years ago. However, it’s common to find the WH-1000XM5 on sale for less than the WH-1000XM4C is expected to cost.
The new headphones will reportedly be available in Platinum Silver, Black, and Lavender. Curiously, the specs are nearly identical to the original WH-1000XM4, but the battery life with ANC off is 4 hours shorter at 34 hours versus 38 hours.
