AT&T appears to be planning yet another price increase. According to a leaked internal document, customers on copper and fiber internet plans established between June 2024 and July 2025 will see their monthly bills go up by $5 starting August 16.
The same increase will apply to customers on the $15/month Copper Plan for speeds up to 50Mbps, which was grandfathered in this past May.
What AT&T Is Telling Customers
The leaked document instructs employees to inform affected customers that “AT&T is making a small adjustment to your monthly internet rate” in order to “maintain the high-quality service you deserve.” The company also claims that third-party data shows its Wireless and Fiber customers “experience the fastest converged speeds in the nation.”
How to Know If You Are Affected
If your plan falls within the affected window, AT&T says you should have already been notified through the “Information You Can Use” section of the AT&T app and your online account. Check there if you are unsure about your plan status.
