According to rumors emerging from China, the Redmi Note 17 will likely be unveiled in July, with the Redmi Note 17 Pro (and possibly a Pro+) following in either late July or August. New leaks have now revealed key specifications for both devices, giving us a clear picture of what Xiaomi’s popular mid-range lineup will offer this year.
The Redmi Note 17 is expected to feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. Camera duties will be handled by a 108MP main sensor, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro lens. A 5,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging rounds out the package.
The Redmi Note 17 Pro steps things up significantly. It’s rumored to pack a 200MP main camera sensor — the same Samsung ISOCELL HP3 found in some flagship devices — along with a 12MP ultra-wide and a 50MP telephoto lens for 2x optical zoom. Under the hood, the Pro model is said to use the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM.
Both devices are expected to ship with HyperOS 2.0 based on Android 16, and the Pro model may feature an under-display fingerprint sensor and IP68 water resistance — features typically reserved for more expensive flagship devices. Pricing is expected to remain aggressive, with the standard Note 17 starting around $250 and the Pro model around $380.
If these specs hold true, the Redmi Note 17 series could continue Xiaomi’s tradition of delivering flagship-level features at mid-range prices, putting pressure on competitors like Samsung’s Galaxy A-series and Realme’s number series.
