The headlining feature this week — not just for iOS but across all of WWDC — is the new Siri AI, powered by the next generation of Apple Intelligence. Siri has been completely rebuilt with large language model technology, allowing for more natural conversations, contextual understanding, and the ability to handle complex multi-step requests.
But there were other changes too, including Apple’s effort to polish the maligned Liquid Glass design language introduced in iOS 26. The visual refinements include more consistent blur effects, improved depth of field in UI elements, and a more cohesive design language across system apps.
