We finally know how expensive GTA VI will be

Rockstar Games is opening pre-orders for GTA VI starting June 25. Before that, the biggest question on everyone’s mind has been the pricing. The publisher promised it wouldn’t be astronomical, but what does that actually mean?

$80. That’s the answer. It’s not quite the $100 some feared, but it’s still a significant $10 jump over the standard $70 AAA game price point that has been the industry norm. This pricing positions GTA VI as a premium-tier release, reflecting both the enormous scale of the game and the years of development that have gone into it.

Industry analysts are watching closely to see whether this becomes a new ceiling for major game releases or if it’s an outlier reserved for blockbuster titles of this magnitude. Either way, fans eager to return to the fictional world of Vice City and beyond will need to shell out more than ever before for a standard edition.

Will you be pre-ordering GTA VI at the $80 price point, or will you wait for reviews? Share your thoughts below.
