Tecno only launched the Pova 8 a week ago, but the company isn’t slowing down. A Pro variant has been making the rounds through certification databases for the past month, and now it’s surfaced on the Google Play Console — revealing key specs and a first look at the front design.
What the Play Console Tells Us
The listing confirms the Pova 8 Pro will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300 — a solid mid-range chipset with 5G support that’s been showing up in a lot of compelling devices lately. It’s paired with 12GB of RAM and Android 16 out of the box, which is generous for this segment. The display resolution comes in at 1,208 × 2,644 pixels, suggesting a tall, sharp panel that fits the Pova series’ gaming-focused design language.
Earlier Leaks Fill in the Gaps
Previous certification listings had already revealed a few other key details:
- Battery: 6,500 mAh — enough for two days of moderate use, which is the real selling point here
- Storage: Up to 512GB, with expansion available
- Dimensions: 162 × 77 × 8 mm — slightly larger than the Pova 8 but still impressively thin for a phone with this battery capacity
Where It Fits
The Pova 8 Pro is shaping up as a strong contender in the budget-to-mid-range space — a phone that prioritizes battery life and raw performance over camera gimmicks or design flourishes. The Dimensity 7300 is capable enough for gaming and multitasking, and 12GB of RAM is almost unheard of at this price point.
Tecno hasn’t announced an official launch date yet, but with the Play Console listing live and certifications already in hand, an announcement shouldn’t be far off.
