Nothing’s Cryptic New Teaser Could Hint at a New Phone

Just hours after Nothing co-founder Akis Evangelidis revealed that the company may not launch a new CMF phone this year, the official Nothing X account shared a cryptic teaser that has the tech world buzzing. The teaser, posted on June 19, 2026, simply reads: “(b)”.

Naturally, speculation is running wild. The most popular theory? A Nothing Phone (4b) to complement the existing Nothing Phone (4a) and Nothing Phone (4a) Pro.

What Could “b” Mean?

The theory has some logic behind it. The Nothing Phone (3) didn’t perform as well as expected commercially, so the company may be pivoting to focus on mid-range devices for the near future. A “4b” model would slot between the 4a and a potential flagship, offering a middle ground for consumers.

However, this would be Nothing’s first time using a “b” suffix in a product name. The company has consistently used “a” for budget variants and “Pro” for premium ones. A “b” would be unprecedented, which is reason enough to approach this theory with caution.

It could also be something entirely different—Nothing produces a wide range of products, including TWS earbuds and headphones. The teaser could easily point to a new audio product.

Nothing’s Teaser Style

In classic Nothing fashion, we expect the company to continue its teaser campaign in the coming days, slowly revealing more clues. Nothing has built a reputation for unconventional marketing, and this minimalist approach fits their brand perfectly.

Whatever “b” means, we’ll be watching closely. Whether it’s a new phone, earbuds, or something completely unexpected, Nothing rarely does anything without a purpose.

Current Nothing Lineup Pricing

Nothing Phone (4a) 5G — From ₹35,800 (128GB/8GB)
Nothing Phone (3) 5G — From ₹44,999 (256GB/12GB)

Stay tuned for more updates as the story develops.
