Best Deals This Week: iPhone Air Drops £200, Poco and Nothing Phones Heavily Discounted
Last week we covered iPhone 17e and 17 Pro Max discounts. Now it’s time to look at a different model — the iPhone Air — which is seeing a significant £200 price cut.
iPhone Air: Ultra-Thin Design Meets Compromise
The iPhone Air remains one of the thinnest phones on the market at just 5.6mm and 165g. Its titanium frame keeps it sturdy despite the slim profile, and it packs Apple’s powerful A19 Pro chipset along with a stunning 6.5-inch LTPO display. But the tradeoffs are real — a single 48MP rear camera and a modest 3,149mAh battery that delivers average endurance (12:44h Active Use Rating).
How It Stacks Up Against the Competition
The Google Pixel 10 is smaller (6.3-inch) but thicker (8.6mm) and heavier (204g), with a much larger 4,970mAh battery. Despite the bigger battery, its Tensor G5 chipset efficiency issues mean it only manages a 12:08h Active Use Rating — similar to the Air.
For budget-conscious buyers, the Pixel 10a offers the same 6.3-inch form factor with the older Tensor G4 chipset, which paradoxically delivers better battery life (15:13h) thanks to its larger 5,100mAh cell. Just note it loses the 5x periscope camera.
More Deals Worth Your Attention
Nothing Phone (4b) is now shipping directly after pre-orders, but is it worth £80 less than the base (4a)? The (4a) actually has a better chipset, UFS 3.1 storage, and a 50MP 3.5x periscope camera. Meanwhile, the Nothing Phone (3) flagship is seeing a massive £300 discount.
The Poco F8 Pro offers the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset at a lower price than the Nothing, with a 6.59-inch 12-bit OLED, 50MP main camera with 2.5x telephoto, and a 6,210mAh battery. For just £30 more, the Poco F8 Ultra brings the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a massive 6.9-inch OLED, 6,500mAh battery with 100W charging, and a superior 50MP 5x periscope camera.
The Poco X8 Pro series is also worth considering as an alternative to the Nothing Phone (4b), with the Max variant pushing near-flagship performance with its Dimensity 9500s chipset and massive 8,500mAh battery.
