While we haven’t published a full review for the latest Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer yet, one of our writers — who also owned the Gen 1 version — shared his hands-on experience with the Gen 2 glasses. He praised the timeless design, the battery life that lasts up to 8 hours with mixed use, and notably improved video quality compared to the previous generation.
The camera is what truly sets the Ray-Ban Wayfarer apart from other smart glasses. It features the same 12MP ultrawide camera as Gen 1, but now supports 3K video recording — double the resolution of the original. Just remember to enable 3K in the settings, as it’s not turned on by default.
The audio features work well without any need for direct ear contact, but they don’t quite match the quality or active noise cancellation of dedicated wireless earbuds.
