Everything we know about Samsung’s July 22 Unpacked lineup
Samsung has officially confirmed its next Unpacked event for July 22 in London, and a fresh wave of leaked renders has now given us our clearest look yet at what the company has in store. From foldable phones to smartwatches, the renders appear to show real-world prototypes of the entire upcoming lineup.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8: thinner, lighter, faster
The standard Galaxy Z Fold8 is shaping up to be a serious contender against Apple’s rumored iPhone Ultra. According to the leaks, it will measure just 4.5mm thick when unfolded (9.7mm folded) and tip the scales at an impressively light 200g — remarkable for a foldable device.
Under the hood, the Fold8 is expected to pack a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 256GB to 1TB. The battery is rumored at 4,800 mAh, while the display setup includes a 5.5-inch cover screen and a 7.6-inch main foldable display with a 4:3 aspect ratio.
Color options are said to include Cream, Graphite, and Lavender, with Pistachio available exclusively through Samsung’s online store.
Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra: 200MP camera and 45W charging
The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra — confusingly the successor to the Fold7 — goes even further. Its standout upgrade is a 200MP primary camera, accompanied by a 10MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and a 50MP ultrawide shooter. The battery jumps to 5,000 mAh with support for 45W wired charging.
Like the standard Fold8, the Ultra will also run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. It will reportedly be available in White, Black, and Pink, with Green as an online-exclusive colorway.
Galaxy Z Flip8: Exynos power in a compact shell
The clamshell-style Galaxy Z Flip8 sticks to a familiar design but brings some notable internal changes. It will reportedly be powered by the Exynos 2600 chipset in select markets, weigh just 180g, and pack a 4,300 mAh battery. Colors include Cream, Graphite, Purple, and a Mint option exclusive to Samsung’s online store. Cameras and displays are expected to remain largely unchanged from the Flip7.
Galaxy Watch9 and Watch Ultra2
On the wearables front, the Galaxy Watch9 will be available in 40mm and 44mm sizes, offered in Cream, Graphite, and Green color options. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 comes in a single 47mm size and will be available in two color finishes.
According to recent leaks, pricing across all these devices is expected to see an increase compared to their predecessors. We’ll know for sure when Samsung takes the stage in London on July 22.
