Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 CAD-based renders leak

New CAD‑rendered images of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 have surfaced, offering a detailed look at the device’s chassis before it hits the market. The visuals show a foldable that mirrors the overall shape of the current Z Fold7, suggesting that Samsung is fine‑tuning rather than reinventing the form factor.

The leaked dimensions indicate a 6.2‑inch internal display when unfolded, measuring roughly 158.4 mm × 143.2 mm × 4.5 mm, while the closed profile stands at 158.4 mm × 72.8 mm × 9 mm. These numbers are described as approximations, meaning the final product could be a touch thicker than its predecessor, yet Samsung promises a slimmer feel in hand.

Powering the larger screen is a 5,000 mAh battery – a 600 mAh bump over the Z Fold7’s cell. The increased capacity should comfortably sustain a full day of mixed‑use, and Samsung is slated to support 45 W wired charging, nearly doubling the 25 W rate of the previous model. In addition, the camera system is expected to receive a major upgrade: a 50 MP ultra‑wide sensor replaces the current 12 MP offering, while the primary and telephoto lenses are rumored to stay unchanged.

Design details hint at a modest camera bump, estimated at around 5.5 mm in thickness, which aligns with the thicker rear housing needed for the larger battery. The device will retain the same RAM and storage configuration as the Z Fold7 – 12 GB of RAM paired with either 256 GB or 512 GB of internal storage.

Leaked pricing suggests the 256 GB variant will launch at roughly £950 (≈ €1,462), while the 512 GB model is expected to cost about £1,399 (≈ €1,569). These figures are consistent with the premium positioning of Samsung’s flagship foldables.

Overall, the CAD renders confirm that the Galaxy Z Fold8 will be a refined evolution of the current model, delivering a bigger battery, faster charging, and a higher‑resolution ultra‑wide camera while keeping the familiar dimensions and price tier that have defined the series to date.
