Google’s Pixel devices are receiving the May 2026 update, bringing several bug fixes and improvements. The update (build CP1A.260505.005) is rolling out to the Pixel 7a and later, plus the Pixel Tablet, and includes the latest May Android security patch.
Key Fixes
- Slow wireless charging when battery is between 75-80%
- Camera app freezing while recording video or adjusting zoom
- Flickering white dot / visual noise on the display
- Fuzzy or unresponsive display
- Keyboard issues where it appeared frozen or rendered incorrectly
No new features — this is purely a stability and security release.

Pixel 7a, Pixel 8 series, Pixel Fold, Pixel 9 series, Pixel 10 series, Pixel Tablet, and the new Pixel 10a.
Important Note for Pixel 10 Series Owners
This update includes a bootloader update that prevents rolling back to earlier Android 16 builds. Once installed, you cannot downgrade.
