While we are still waiting for an official announcement, the grapevine is buzzing with new details regarding the upcoming vivo S70. While early whispers hinted at a significant camera upgrade, a fresh leak from insider *Digital Chat Station* has provided a much clearer picture of what this device will bring to the table.
The headline feature is undoubtedly the zoom capabilities. The vivo S70 is expected to sport a beefy 64MP Sony periscope telephoto lens, designed to capture sharp details from a distance. This high-res sensor is paired with a 50MP primary wide lens and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, completing a triple-camera array that positions the S70 as a serious contender for mobile photography enthusiasts.
Visually, it seems vivo is sticking to a familiar formula. The leak suggests a horizontally aligned camera module on the rear, mirroring the design language seen in its predecessor, the S60.
But the upgrades aren’t limited to the cameras. Under the hood, the S70 is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, promising a blend of high-end performance and efficiency. To complement the power, the device will likely feature a 6.59-inch LTPS OLED display. With a 1.5K resolution, users can expect crisp visuals and vibrant colors, making it ideal for both media consumption and gaming.
Speaking of gaming, there is an interesting twist regarding the device’s aesthetics. Reports suggest vivo is planning a special edition model themed around the popular title *Sky: Children of the Light*, which could bring a unique artistic flair to the hardware.
While we are still awaiting a formal launch date in China, the S70 is shaping up to be a sophisticated mid-to-high-range device that prioritizes optical zoom and screen quality. If these leaks hold true, vivo is doubling down on the “pro-sumer” photography trend, making high-end periscope lenses more accessible.
