Samsung Galaxy A57/A37, OnePlus 15T official, Week 13 in review

Samsung’s mid‑range A‑series finally made its way onto the market this week, with the Galaxy A37 and the larger Galaxy A57 hitting stores on April 9 in most territories and April 10 in a few. Both handsets inherit the design language of their forebears but arrive with fresh 2026‑era internals – newer processors, sturdier frames and a sprinkle of AI‑driven camera tricks.

In the United States the A37 lands at $450, while the A57 is priced at $550. European shoppers will see the A37 for €430 and the A57 for €530. A handful of markets are running a short‑lived promotion that bundles the 256 GB storage tier at no extra cost; the deal expires on April 18 in Germany and April 24 in France.

Across the Pacific, Oppo is gearing up for the launch of the Find X9 Ultra, slated for next month alongside the standard Find X9. Early teasers hint at a distinctive square camera module and a bump in wireless charging speed to 80 W, promising faster top‑ups without sacrificing battery life.

OnePlus has also stepped into the spotlight with the OnePlus 15T, a compact flagship that packs a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and a hefty 7,500 mAh silicon‑carbon battery. The device supports 100 W wired charging and 50 W wireless charging, and it’s offered in three muted finishes – white, brown and green. The entry‑level model, featuring 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, starts at CNY 4,299 (roughly $625). For power users, the top‑end version – 16 GB RAM with a 1 TB drive – commands CNY 5,699 (about $828). Rumors suggest a global rollout under the name OnePlus 15s could follow later this year.

Finally, Qualcomm’s upcoming silicon lineup is taking shape. According to Digital Chat Location, the next‑gen SoCs will be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 (SM8950) and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Official (SM8975). Both are expected to be fabricated on TSMC’s 2 nm process and to adopt a 2‑core, 3‑core, 3‑core CPU layout, promising a notable leap in efficiency and performance.

All told, the week is packed with fresh releases, aggressive pricing and a glimpse of the next wave of high‑end hardware that will shape the consumer tech landscape in the months ahead.
