Honor Win2 teased once again with world’s first 2K 185Hz display

# Honor Win2 Series: A New Frontier for High-Refresh Displays

Honor is gearing up to shake up the enthusiast market with the upcoming launch of the Win2 series. Expected to debut next week, the lineup will consist of three distinct models: the standard Win2, the Win2 RT, and the Win2 Turbo. While the series is already buzzing for its powerhouse internals, a recent collaboration with panel giant Visionox has put the spotlight on a potential industry first.

According to a new Weibo reveal from Visionox, all three devices will feature the world’s first 2K display capable of a blistering 185Hz refresh rate. In a market where manufacturers typically force users to choose between ultra-high resolution and high refresh rates, Honor and Visionox claim to have bridged the gap, offering a “no-compromise” visual experience.

The screen isn’t just about the hertz, though. To satisfy hardcore gamers, the panel supports a 5,000Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate and a 520Hz reporting rate for ten-finger multi-touch. To keep things immersive, Honor has trimmed the borders down to a mere 0.93mm on all sides. Additionally, 5,920Hz PWM dimming is integrated to reduce eye strain during those marathon gaming sessions.

Under the hood, the Win2 series is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite (Gen 6), making it a legitimate gaming beast. But the most shocking specs might be the batteries. The standard Win2 is slated for a massive 10,100 mAh cell, while the Win2 RT is rumored to push boundaries even further with a staggering 12,070 mAh battery. To keep these components cool, the series will likely feature advanced active cooling fans.

The big question remains: will we actually see 185Hz in action? While many phones claim high refresh rates, very few games actually support them. If Honor can deliver an ecosystem of titles that leverage this hardware, the Win2 series could set a new gold standard for mobile gaming. If not, it remains a stunning piece of engineering awaiting a purpose.
